The Children's Director is responsible for comprehensive organization of Children's Ministry at the church, including Children's Sunday School, programs for children during worship services, midweek ministries such as Pioneer Club, Summer Children's Church Camp, and Vacation Bible School

Personal Info
Janet Bowdle comes from Oakthorpe, Ohio (near Lancaster), and has been involved in serving Christ since childhood years. She earned an Elementary Education Degree at Asbury College, and a Masters Degree in Christian Education at Asbury Seminary. During those years, she served as a summmer youth director in Tennessee, and a Backyard Bible School Director at Trinity UM Church in Chillicothe. After graduation, she became the full time Christian Education Director of Walnut Street United Methodist Church in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Following her marriage to Bill in June of 1979, she began to fulfill her calling to be a pastor's wife. She supported Bill's churches ever since that time with a variety of volunteer service, or part-time employment, in the area of Children's Ministries. Those employement positions included service as the Children's Director for Bethany UM Church in Bethany, Ohio, and at Armstrong Chapel UM Church in the Indian Hill suburb of Cincinnati. She currently serves as Bethel UM Church's full time Children's Director.
Janet has also had extensive volunteer experience supporting women's ministries, and as parsonage hostess for groups she's invited into the Bowdle parsonage.

She enjoys people, cooking, and helping people get connected with God and with each other.
