Personal Info 

Bill Bowdle is serving Bethel United Methodist Church as fifth pastoral appointment in full time ministry.  His training for ministry included studies at Asbury College in Psychology, and at Asbury Theological Seminary in ministry training.   Student ministries included summer service at Mt. Pleasant and New Plymouth UM Churches in 1970;  directing Backyard Bible Schools at Trinity UMC, Chillicothe in 1971 and 1972;  and service as Camper's Chapel Chaplain at Old Man's Cave in the summers of 1973-1976.

After graduating from seminary, Bill began full time ministries at Grace UMC in Jackson, Ohio in 1977;  Goshen UMC in Goshen, Ohio in 1983;   Bethany UMC in Bethany, Ohio in 1989;  Armstrong Chapel UMC in the Indian Hill suburb of Cincinnati in 1998;  and Bethel UMC beginning in 2005. 

Bill is married to Janet, also a graduate of Asbury College and Asbury Seminary.  They are parents of a daughter, Faith, a Social Worker in Kentucky married to Jonathan Powers.  They have a son, Philip Bowdle, husband of Sarah, and director of digital media (webmaster) for a very large United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. 

Bill and Janet have the joyful privilege of serving God as genuine partners in ministry.

For hobbies, Bill enjoys action movies, computer grapic design, and the family cat, Romeo.
