Bethel United Methodist Church

The Bethel U.M. Church aims to obey Christ's Greatest Commandments to "Love the Lord your God," and "Love your neighbor," as well as obey the Great Commission to "go make disciples."  Our many missions projects provide ways to support Christ's call by offering our hands and hearts in personal service to others, and by offering our support by prayer and financial support.  A church which only lives for itself will die to God's call.  We aim to respond to God's call to missions outreach, and live to love and serve God's broader family beyond our doors and around the world.

The Mission Committee sponsors mission trips, such as sending work groups to assist in repairing flood damaged properties in Cedar Rapid, Iowa.  We have offered financial aid to two Iowa United Methodists Churches overtaken by the flood.  We sponsored teens on a work trip to Cleveland, Ohio.   We have provided monetary assistance for mission trips to Haiti.  We are pleased to sponsor a new family work camp outing, for parents and their children, to an Appalachian area.  The committee is starting a free "Fill My Cup" coffee and donuts service project reaching out to morning commuters of the community as they head to work.  The projects below show the many directions in which our church is spreading the love of Christ.
