Music Ministries at Bethel UM Church
Contemporary Worship Team - led by our Associate Pastor, Steve Fultz, this music team utilizes acoustic, electric and bass guitars, drums and miked vocalists to lead our 9:30 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service. Practice sessions usually occur on Saturday's at 10:00 a.m.
Modern Service in the Chapel Praise Team - led by our Youth Pastor, Dustin Nimmo, this worship team offers vigorous leadership for our Modern Service in the Chapel, which meets weekly at 10:45 a.m. in the chapel.
Adult Choir - the adult choir practices weekly on Thursday nights at 7:00 p.m. during the school year, and alternates presenting their choral numbers to the 8:00 and 10:45 a.m. congregations. They sing to either piano accompaniment or to CD's with a variety of styles of moving music. Leadership for our choir is furnished by our volunteer music director, Carolyn Gregory.
- Adult Sanctuary Choir - Singing During A Joint Worship Celebration
Bethel Community Choir - Our adult choir also anchors the Bethel Community Choir, which presents seasonal Easter and Christmas Cantatas. When practicing for the cantatas, our local choir rehearses at 6:30 p.m. and then the Community Choir practices at 7:30 p.m on Thursdays. In addition to cantatas, the Community Choir sings for other Community Worship services sponsored by the Bethel Ministerial Association.
Sisters in Praise - This ladies ensemble of about 6-8 ladies presents special music for our 8:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. worship services every few weeks.
Soloists - A rotating group of soloists is utilized to furnish additonal special music in our 8:00 and 10:45 a.m. services, under the coordination of our Music Director, Carolyn Gregory, and her assistants.
- Children's Choir - "Flock That Rocks" at Joint Worship Celebration
Flock That Rocks - Children's Choir - led by volunteer, Linda Smith, this children's choir group presents occasional special music for our worship services, and seasonal musical and drama presentations.
Music Opportunities - we are seeking leadership for the following musical ministries.
Adult Bell Choir - the bell choir meets on call to provide special music at events such as the community Christmas musical, or other special settings.
